Things that I learned from being a cashier at the Bookstore:

  • Life takes VISA- roughly 98% of the student's I rang up paid with a VISA
  • Standing for four consecutive hours is equivalent pain as to walking around for eight hours straight.
  • Guys generally won't take a bag if they have one or two books. Girls usually will.
  • Sometimes people are more attractive on their licenses than in real life.
  • Guys ALWAYS look better with short hair.
  • Paying for textbooks are painful, but the $5 discount we give out per every $100 a customer spends seem to perk them up every time.
  • You can scan barcodes upside down.
  • There are a TON of movies that end with the letter "N" but not nearly as many that start with the letter "E."
  • Flat shoes make your behind hurt because of the constant shifting from foot to foot, heeled shoes make your feet hurt, but magically take the pain out of your backside.
  • You can't help but shift your weight unconsciously.
  • If you can do a P card the second day without asking help, you're considered a genius.
  • The only book we rent out is the green Biology one.
  • Small talk is hard for me.
